About the Opportunity
- Responsible for the processing of a limited number of source document transactions, including A/P and A/R and recurring entries, such as automatic deposits, debt payments, amortization, and intercompany transactions in QuickBooks
- Reconciliation of bank statements, interest, and maintenance reserve balances and other general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and integrity of reporting.
- Responsible for the preparation of annual operating budgets, monthly rolling cash flow forecasting, and capital calls.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and operating reporting packages for management, partners, and lenders – including actual to budget variance analysis, tracking of deal pipeline and various Key Performance Indicators (“KPI’s”).
- Update pre-existing financial pro forma models to evaluate decisions and outcomes.
- Work with management and partners to analyze project specifics, such as actual monthly accounting figures that are then an input for development models and forecasting tools.
- Preparation of filing of various government filings, including HST filing, partnership income tax returns and corporate tax returns.
- Coordination of the annual audit and maintain strong internal financial and operational controls.
- Support all acquisition activities by assisting in financial due diligence, memo preparation and various submission packages.
- Oversee cash flow management to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and strategic investments.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards and manage financial risks through appropriate controls and procedures.
- Identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Prepare, forecast, and pay out commission schedules for the team.
- Assist in the corporate consolidations of consolidated financials
- Completing Ad hoc reporting as needed
About You
- CPA/CMA designation is preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience
- Financial modeling capabilities
- Strong foundation in accounting fundamentals and financing concepts
- Experience with reviewing and interpreting contractual agreements
- Strong computer skills including Excel
Salary Range
