The hours of work for this role will be part-time and based on the availability of the successful candidate. PIPP stands for Personal Injury Protection Plan, and all Manitoba residents have injury claims coverage whether they own a vehicle or not. PIPP also covers visitors to Manitoba who are injured in an accident if a Manitoba registered vehicle is involved. Coverage also extends to all Manitoba residents if injured outside the province in Canada or the United States. As a student in the PIPP department, you will be a part of the dynamic team that assists in data verification and entry for all PIPP related injury claims. Responsibilities:
- Provides administrative support to the Injury Claims Management teams.
- Reviews injury claims data and verifies data for accuracy.
- Reviews reserving documentation, enters data into Excel file and ensures claim and amount details are correct.
- Incorporates and reconciles data in Excel for departmental statistics and reports from a variety of sources.
- Completes additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in or returning to study at a post-secondary educational institution. Recent graduates in the current year will also be given consideration.
- Ability to perform basic calculations.
- Excellent keyboarding and data entry skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy is required.
- Ability to prioritize workloads and meet strict deadlines.
