Job Title: Aquatic Instructor II

Location: Saanich, BC

Job Description: Saanich Commonwealth Place is seeking multiple certified Aquatic Instructors who will be responsible for lesson management of our Lifesaving Society swimming lesson programs. This includes planning and preparing assigned programs; instructing assigned classes; evaluating participants; record keeping and public relations. The successful candidates will also ensure participants are taught according to safety and skill standards outlined by Saanich and Aquatic agencies.Requirements include: currently or completion of Grade 10; current Lifesaving Society BC Swim Instructor Award; over three months, a satisfactory Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector (PIC-VS) check no older than 6 months. Renewal of PIC-VS is required as per policy; An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Successful candidates will be required to work varying shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends (hours/shifts are subject to change). In addition to the interview process, testing will be conducted.
