Job Description: Job Description:Title: Controller ContractDuration: 3 MonthsLocation – primarily remote, although occasional on-site visits may be required.Our client is seeking an experienced, hands-on Controller to provide crucial financial assistance during a sustained period of growth. The primary role will involve aiding the client through their year-end financial statement creation process and assisting in year-end audit preparations.Key Responsibilities: * Analyze and organize complex financial data to provide a comprehensive depiction of the client’s financial situation.

• Oversee the year-end audit, possessing a strong understanding of all essential year-end audit requirements.
• Support the development and ongoing maintenance of financial documentation required for the year end audit, focusing particularly on fixed assets, work-in-process, and intercompany transactions.
• Understand and apply principles of foreign exchange valuation.
• Utilize investigative skills for financial data analysis to provide a clear financial perspective.
• Contribute to the team environment and deliver mentorship to existing staff, sharing knowledge and experiences where possible.

Requirements:Requirements & Qualifications: * Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar field with a CPA.

• Proficiency in investigative skills, backed by the ability to effectively fill in any gaps in financial data.
• Solid understanding of audit requirements necessary for a successful review-to-audit transition.
• Display tenacity in the investigation and analysis of the previous year’s transactions.
• Strong proficient in QuickBooks, and Excel would be considered an asset.
• Experience with US Tax, Nexus would be considered an asset.
• Capable of assisting in potential ERP systems’ evaluation after completing year-end tasks as necessary.
