Job Description: On behalf of our valued client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Manager, IT Infrastructure and Security to join our client’s team on a full-time permanent basis.Summary of the RoleThis position is a leadership role overseeing IT infrastructure, security, and database administration (DBA) teams. The successful candidate will drive IT strategic and tactical planning, oversee technology operations, manage resources, and foster vendor partnerships. The role involves occasional travel and operates under a hybrid work model based in Vancouver.Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage three teams: IT infrastructure, security, and database administration.
- Develop and execute scalable and sustainable IT systems and infrastructure strategies.
- Oversee the development and performance of an IT team comprising staff, contractors, and vendors.
- Ensure alignment of IT systems with business needs, enhancing productivity and decision-making.
- Strengthen cybersecurity posture and manage network security technologies, including VPNs, firewalls, and encryption.
- Build and maintain vendor relationships to support strategic technology goals.
Core Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience, including 5 years in leadership roles.
- Proven expertise in large-scale IT infrastructure planning and operations.
- Hands-on technical background with advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and server architectures.
- Strong knowledge of network security technologies and practices.
- Effective leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related fields.
- Experience managing hybrid teams, including remote and onsite staff.
- Demonstrated ability in program and project management.
TermsThis permanent, full-time position is based in Vancouver with occasional travel required. The role operates under a hybrid work arrangement. The compensation package includes a 7% pension contribution, a 7.5% performance bonus, and additional benefits.
