You light the way.More about the roleThis is an exciting job opportunity for you to light the way as a Senior Final Assembler in Langley, BC with Signify.Rate: $19.58 per hourShift: 6:30am to 3:00pm (Monday to Friday)Union EnvironmentEfficient and safe use of hand, power and measuring tools along with efficient and safe operation and set up of production equipment and machineryAssemble and sub assemble lighting fixtures and related components (mechanical and electrical). Test and package assemblies and componentsMake inventory transactions with the efficient use of scanners and computer equipmentProvide assistance to Engineering on proto-types and New Product Development and Planning with materials/inventory management along with providing assistance and making recommendations to Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement TeamsDirect, assist and train Final AssemblersOperate within Safety Policies, ISO Regulations, Work Station Instructions and Quality Standards as dictated in engineering drawings. Responsible for work station organization, cleanliness and maintenance of tools and equipment; maintains 5S principles and standardsAct as lead hand and/or back up lead hand as requiredAssist in other departments and work cells as requiredMore about youWhile we value and appreciate all applicants, we believe that the following experience and skills will be needed to shine brightly in this job opening:High school diploma or equivalent preferredBasic reading, writing and arithmetic skills requiredManual dexterity required for assembly and machine operations. Ability to fulfill physical requirements including standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of timeExperience as a Final Assembler possessing full proficiency in all duties and tasksFull understanding of all department related paperwork.
