Job Description: We’re currently looking for a detail oriented R&D chemist to join our Winnipeg Lab department, who will report to our Corporate Lab Manager.As a R&D chemist will provide support to various functions within the Lab Services department especially focusing on wet chemistry application, sample testing, handling equipment , generating data etc. The incumbent must have the skills, capability and willingness to be trained for a broad range of tasks and responsibilities.Who We AreAt Pollard Banknote Limited, we’ve been a leader in instant lottery ticket manufacturing and services for over a century, delivering innovation and quality. What You’ll Do
- Set up and conduct experiments, tests, analyses using techniques such as physical and chemical testing techniques and microscopy
- Prepare prototype samples in the lab and record all variables related to the prototyping phase
- Perform quality control testing on new inks, coatings and substrates
- Promote effective communication between lab technicians, chemists and supervisors
- Ensure safe work practices are followed
- Keep work spaces clean, wear appropriate PPE and other duties as assigned

What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor of sciences preferably chemistry /biochemistry is required
- 1-2 years’ experience working in a chemistry lab is an asset
- Familiarity with analytical equipment for example FTIR, Goniometer etc. is an asset.
- Ability to record & organize data , perform work with high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is an asset
- Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be capable of lifting weights up to 40 lbs. with long periods of standing and walking
